Eamon O’Rourke

Eamon O'RourkeEamon O’Rourke is a Brooklyn-based filmmaker with many years of experience in film production. He began his on-set career as an actor and stuntman. He has also worked on many independent productions as a camera operator, videographer, and assistant camera operator.

O’Rourke has worked on many projects, which include the award-winning feature film “Grand Illusion,” a short film entitled “The Before and After of Mannie and Eva,” a feature-length movie entitled “Documentary No.3,” a short film entitled “Two Tongues for One Ear” about the conflict in Rwanda and other upcoming projects.

He is working on his first full-length documentary entitled “Beyond Redemption: The Untold Story of Colombian Rebel Leader Roy Canahuati.

Eamon O’Rourke’s film credits include: “Ajani,” “Fuzzy,” and “The Watchmen” – a short film that won the Best Short Film Award at the Los Angeles Film Festival.

He is an active member of the Black Filmmaking Collective, which he established, as well as a member of both the American Federation of Television & Radio Artists (AFTRA) and Screen Actors Guild (SAG).

O’Rourke was born in Queens, NY, and raised in the borough of Brooklyn. He also attended schools in the Bronx and Upstate New York. He resides on Bedford Avenue in Brooklyn, known as “The Hipster Capital of the Northeast.”

Eamon O’Rourke’ is a highly knowledgeable, adaptable, and innovative technology leader with a successful career spanning years in global financial and technology services spanning over two decades.

As an entrepreneur and investor, he has been involved in several areas of the technology industry, from new business development to software applications to high-profile Internet startups to organizational management.

Currently, he is a technological leader in the creative industries as a film producer and director. His research focused on emerging technologies and information networks for mobile device deployment for the creative industries.

He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Communications Studies from the State University of New York at Stony Brook. He then received his Master’s Degree in Management and Technology from the International School of Management (ISM), located in Paris, France, in 1994.

He graduated from Long Island University-C W Post Campus with a Master’s in Management and Technology.

He was raised in the borough of Queens, New York. He attended high school at Bayard Rustin. He also attended the Bronx High School of Science and Brooklyn Technical High School.

He resides on Bedford Avenue in Brooklyn, known as “The Hipster Capital of the Northeast.
