John Hailer, formerly the head of global financial markets at BNP Paribas, has been named to the board of directors for global investment firm Natixis.
John Hailer has more than 30 years of experience in banking, equity markets, and risk management with a strong track record of success. Prior to his role at BNP, he was head of global equity trading and risk management before serving as senior managing director and division chief for institutional distribution.
As part of her company’s commitment to maintaining a diverse leadership team that is well-versed in Natixis’s strategies, strategies, succession plans, and business opportunities across all areas of operations, CEO Natalie Massenet appointed him as a member of the board on June 28th. John Hailer is a member of Natixis’ investment committee.

John Hailer also brings valuable experience and knowledge of best practices in risk management, mergers and acquisitions, compensation, business process automation, and sales & marketing from over two decades with multiple financial institutions. Equally important is his deep insight into the global capital markets, fully leveraging and capitalizing on the organizations’ ability to produce a clear-cut strategic advantage in increasingly complex environments.
In addition, John Hailer’s systemic approach and precise execution will help the firm further its expertise in risk management and investment solutions for asset managers. He will help facilitate the organizations’ efforts to establish high-quality partners with a strong understanding of Natixis’ global capabilities.
Mr. Hailer has been with BNP Paribas since 1999, where he held several leadership positions at various levels of responsibility within the Bank, including running operations in the Americas, Europe, and Asia-Pacific.
