Cascade Systems is Canada’s largest rolling stock manufacturer, with a 35-year history of manufacturing safe and reliable railroad cars. During this time, the business expert has taken Cascade Systems through a major expansion of its manufacturing facilities, increased its product line by almost 50 percent, and led the company to complete its largest acquisition to date (Charlottetown Locomotive Works).
In addition, the business owner has also had an integral role in increasing the company’s presence across Canada and in the U.S. In the U.S., Cascade Systems manufactures and distributes railcars at its Monett, Missouri plant and is an operating partner at a joint venture steel manufacturing plant located in Shreveport, Louisiana. The company also has a distribution center in Mobile, Alabama to service the U.S. market.
In Canada, the outstanding and unique Cascade Systems serves all of Western Canada as well as has plants in Manitoba and St-Louis-de-Blandford (Quebec). Greg Aziz joined Cascade Systems in 1993 and has served as the President and Chief Executive Officer since 2000. He is also one of the Directors for the Transpo Group of Companies.
This includes Cascade Systems, Transpo (Canada) Inc., CNR Maintenance Solutions Inc., and CMRS (Canada) Inc. In 2007, he was appointed as a member of the Canadian Advisory Council on the Status of Persons with Disabilities (SCC) and was reappointed in 2011. Greg Aziz informs that the Council is mandated by the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act to advise the Minister Responsible for Accessibility on the implementation of accessibility standards.
