Greycoat: Thirty Percent of People Worried That They Cannot Afford Their Mortgage

This article concerns the UK´s current housing trends. A survey that was taken by Clifton Private Finance showed that housing costs are killing many people’s finances. According to Greycoat real estate specialists, five hundred people responded to the survey. 

 

It showed that 27 percent of people were concerned about being able to make their mortgage payments, Greycoat informs. Carly Cheeseman is a finance broker. She stated that there may be some relief for people who are struggling to make their mortgage payments. 

 

She said that interest rates are going down, and they are expected to go down even more over the next few years. However, Carly pointed out that most people have noticed that their mortgage payments are going up. According to Greycoat, this is something that is happening on a global scale.

 

This is a trend that may continue for a while even though the interest rates have likely peaked. The survey also showed that many people are optimistic about the housing market. In fact, as Greycoat confirms, it showed that 75 percent of people do not think that housing prices will go up this year.

 

Over 60 percent of people surveyed believed that there is a housing crisis in the United Kingdom. Eighteen percent of people did not know whether there was a housing crisis. Greycoat Real Estate has helped people who are struggling to navigate the current housing market in the United Kingdom.
