Mark Hauser has spent years working at a radio station and as a voice actor. From commercials to audio books to TV programs, his voice can be heard in the most creative of places. He has been heard on such shows as “Scooby Doo,” “The Jetsons,” and many others.
Mark Hauser is currently the President of Voice Talent Network (VAN) and discusses some interesting things about his professional life with the Daily Dot. After starting at VAN, he was quickly promoted from PPM Coordinator to Branch Manager where he oversaw six branches across North America with an average weekly operating budget of seven figures each week. He has also ended up being one of the very few people in all of VAN’s history who have held both a branch general manager title and the Director of International Program Partnerships position.
When asked about the challenges he had to face as an entrepreneur in voiceover,Mark Hauser said, “Not having any experience with starting my own company and business I had no idea what I was getting into.” He is quick to point out that having successfully built a thriving business from scratch requires careful planning and following through on everything you set out to do.
He says, “If you are going to be successful as a voice actor you need to take the time to develop a personal brand, build relationships with other voice actors, and prepare your business for the future.
As for the future of VAN,Mark Hauser is confident that it will continue growing as long as it brings value to its customers and offers a working environment that is conducive to growth. “VAN was started in 1999 and has grown into an organization of over 12,000 members. It continues to have one of the largest client bases among independent voiceover talent associations worldwide.
