A blog post from Stitch Fix shares what men should wear when attending a special event such as a wedding. Each suggested look is geared toward a certain kind of event. There are four common types of attire to wear for a wedding.
The first is formal attire. Stitch Fix says a dark-tone suit works best for this occasion and not a full tuxedo. However, a collared dress shirt is a must. Men can wear a bow tie or necktie to pair the look. Dress shoes such as oxfords or derbys work best for such an event. Next is semi-formal.
This reflects a modern, less fancy business casual look. A navy blazer or coat works along with beige pants. Stitch Fix Fashion Blog states what makes this different is that a tie is optional and not required. A cocktail attire chukkas or wingtips work.
They recommend neutral colors or a white shirt with a nice blazer. Men all over the world can not go wrong with some nice blue slacks to match. Stitch Fix adds that the last occasion is a casual wedding attire look. This look goes with more laid-back events at a venue.
This can mean a button-up shirt with chinos or dress pants. Slacka and the like are also very acceptable. This is more laid back but jeans and just a t-shirt do not work. Men will have to see what to wear depending on the occasion where the wedding is taking place, whether at a fancy venue, at a vineyard, or even at the beach. Stitch Fix has looks for all men.
